History
The Jeep CJ (civilian Jeep) was based on the WWII army Jeep, and produced in CJ2 and CJ3 model designations from 1944-1968. There were sub-models (CJ2A, CJ3A, CJ3B) but the fundamental vehicle remains the same. The Jeep CJ grew more roadworthy over the years with larger and better engines, but never lost its reputation for overcoming extreme abuse. Models of particular interest are early CJ2A units from 1945-1949, and farm models with power take-off to drive mechanical implements.
